Animation Production: Chasing Sparks

SC01. INTRO

Chasing Sparks began with an image I couldn’t get out of my head — a cat chasing a trail of light, innocent and unknowing. What started as something small and quiet grew into a reflection of something much larger: the fragility of life and the violence that shadows it.

This project isn’t just about the cat — it’s about the world it moves through. It’s about the sense of safety we all think we have until it’s gone, and how beauty and horror can exist side by side in the same moment.

Through this animation, I want to explore the contrast between innocence and destruction, and how easily something pure can be lost in a world divided by fear and anger.

It’s a heavy story to tell, but an important one — and it’s my way of processing the chaos I see around me, through light, color, and motion.
